Katie joined the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities in August 2025 as Program Coordinator. In this role, she supports organizational efficiency by coordinating program-related activities and assisting with grants management. Her work spans project coordination, research support, stakeholder engagement, compliance, grants administration, and organizational communication.
Prior to her current role, Katie served as an intern at the Endowment, where she supported both communications and program initiatives. She assisted with content development, digital outreach, and website updates, while also contributing to program meetings and event follow-ups. Her work helped strengthen public engagement and advance the organization’s mission.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications from the University of Tennessee, where she cultivated her interests in community engagement, leadership development, and environmental education. During her time at UT, she was actively involved in student organizations and service initiatives, developing a strong foundation in both leadership and public communication.
Originally from Athens, Georgia, Katie enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family. She also has a deep appreciation for the outdoors and brings a personal commitment to conservation and community development to her work at the Endowment.
