The U.S. Forest and Wood Products Sector Inclusion Council

The forest and wood products sector, reflecting the diverse makeup of our society, is committed to fostering workplaces where people feel valued, safe, and that they belong, so that all generations can enjoy and benefit from our forests.

The U.S Forest and Wood Products Sector Inclusion Council (Inclusion Council) is composed of private, public, not-for-profit, indigenous, and academic representatives across the United States working within the forest and wood products sector.   Our core values—belonging, sustainability, collaboration, diversity, engagement, and forward-thinking—drive our efforts to shape a more sustainable future for forestry

The U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities launched this initiative in 2022 at the request of industry. We are working collectively to create systemic change in our sector’s approach to recruitment and retention, leadership development, and the sharing of best practices and experiences to help position our sector for a thriving and sustainable future.
