Aleta is the Grants/Contracts Specialist at the Endowment responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing grant contracts, ensuring organizational compliance with funding regulations, and assisting Program Officers to monitor programmatic work in the Endowment’s broad portfolio. She holds a Master’s degree in International Development as well as Bachelor’s degrees in both Business Administration and Spanish.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA she moved to Philadelphia after graduate school to complete at year of AmeriCorps service at an anti-poverty nonprofit. Deciding to stay in the city of brotherly love she went on to work as a program manager at a local energy cooperative, a Director of Community Programs at an energy efficiency nonprofit, and later an Analyst at the city owned natural gas utility overseeing their low-income energy efficiency program. She moved south to Greenville, SC when her partner began work at Clemson University, and she happily joined the Endowment team in January of 2019. Outside of work she enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, gardening, cooking, biking, hiking, and exploring new places around Greenville.
