Currently in beta ahead of its Version 1 launch in summer 2027, FACT invites users to explore the platform, with feedback guiding ongoing improvements as the team refines and expands it.
Drawing on decades of research and expertise from the USDA Forest Service, scientists, engineers and forest industry experts, FACT brings fragmented data together to help:
- Forest land managers convert inventories to carbon stocks and estimate carbon for small areas.
- Wood product manufacturers assess and report their operations’ carbon impacts.
- Designers and architects consider embodied and displaced carbon estimates.
- Researchers identify gaps in primary carbon data.
