Endowment Elects Canadian Liaison to Three-Year Board Term

The U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities (the Endowment) operating by conference call on December 10, 2009, unanimously voted to elect Stephane Rousseau to a three-year term to the Board of Directors.  “While Mr. Rousseau has been named by Canadian Minister of International Trade Stockwell Day, as his government’s liaison to the Endowment, our Board has felt from the very start that the liaison position should be equal to other members of the Endowment governing body,” said Endowment President Carlton Owen.  “Thus, we early on amended our bylaws to effect this change.”  Rousseau, of privately-held Kruger Inc., succeeds John Weaver, former CEO of AbitibiBowater, as Canadian liaison and member of the Endowment’s Board.
