New Members Added To Board Of Directors; Officers Elected

The U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities (the Endowment) announced today the election of Board members and officers for 2018 at the organization’s semi-annual meeting held this year in Vancouver, Canada. The Board welcomed Kevin Schuyler to serve a three-year term and Rachel Jacobson to fill an unexpired term.

Kevin Schuyler of Charlottesville, VA, is Senior Managing Director of CornerStone Partners. He has more than twenty years experience in portfolio management, private equity, real estate, trading and consulting. He is the former chief investment officer, vice president, and director of finance and investments for The Nature Conservancy. He was a commodity trader and manager for Louis Dreyfus Corporation, a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, and an entrepreneur. Kevin serves on the investment committees of several prominent charities and is a graduate with honors from Harvard College. He received his MBA from The Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Rachel Jacobson is an attorney with Washington, DC-based WilmerHale where she advises clients facing complex regulatory and litigation challenges related to compliance with environmental laws, Superfund cleanup, natural resource management and energy development. For more than 30 years she served honorably in the federal government, holding senior positions at the US Department of Defense (DOD), Department of the Interior (DOI) and Department of Justice (DOJ). At the DOI, as Principal Deputy Solicitor, she led the negotiation of the early restoration settlement agreement with BP following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Colin Moseley of Seattle, WA was elected to a second, two-year term as Chairman. Tamar Datan of Leesburg, Virginia, and Jon Voigtman of Nassau, The Bahamas, were re-elected to one-year terms as Vice Chair and Treasurer, respectively.

John Cooper of College Station, TX; Jim Hoolihan of Grand Rapids, MN; and, Andrea Tuttle of Arcata, CA, were each elected for a second three-year term of Board service.

In addition the Endowment celebrated nearly six years of outstanding leadership by Board member and Chair of the Investment Committee John Kulhavi of Farmington Hills, MI, as he completed his term.
